Updated China

Regions Affected: Guangdong, Sichuan

Rationale: China is quite underrepresented in NomadMania’s divison and the two regions now expanded are significant – Sichuan is extremely large while Guangdong is unique culturally and a large population centre.

Specific Changes / What you need to do next

This region is being reorganised entirely compared to before and a review of where you have been here is due. The new system comprises three regions a. larger Guangzhou, taking in almost of the area adjacent to Macau as well b. Shenzhen, which is an extremely significant centre for trade and now one of the largest cities in the country, as well as having a unique immigration regime and c. The rest of Guangdong (called ‘rural’, including Shantou and all parts not covered by ‘a’ and ‘b’ above).

The considerable mountainous Tibetan regions are now split off the remaining southern autonomous regions. If you have been to the Tibetan regions in the west of Sichuan, you will need to mark these, as the ‘old’ region remains with the southern Sichuan areas. Chengdu and the east of Sichuan is largely unaffected.
